For B2B buyers, the part number is usually the fastest way to reduce mistakes. But a part number alone is not always enough. The same tray family can have different faceplates, latch styles, or drive-size details depending on the server platform.
Start with the original tray code
If you already have a removed tray, photograph the front and back. Send the part number, the server model, and the drive size. If the part number is worn out, add one clear photo of the tray installed inside the chassis.
Check three matching points
- Drive size: 2.5-inch, 3.5-inch, or E3.S
- Server family: Dell, HPE, Lenovo, storage platform, or white-box system
- Front design: latch, tab, handle shape, and keying position
Avoid common sourcing errors
Many buyers compare only overall length or only the screw hole position. That is not enough. Tray compatibility depends on the full mounting pattern, connector position, and how the carrier aligns inside the bay.
What HY needs before quotation
Send the part number, quantity, destination country, and original photos when available. That is usually enough to move from a rough inquiry to a usable quotation in one round.
